How 5Star Movers protects you!

Here at 5Star Movers we know times are hard and people now a days have a very strict budget. With so much competition we know and understand why customers "shop around" when it comes to movers. But a lot of customers don't understand what a licensed and bonded mover is and how important it is to be covered.

Being licensed and bonded means the moving company is required by law to carry the minimum insurance of $300,000 in liability and $5,000 in cargo insurance to operate legally in Texas. Once the company has proven to the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles it is carrying the minimum insurance requirements, it is then assigned a unique TXDMV (formerly known as TXDOT) number and is considered licensed. This number is verifiable through the DMV'S website @www.txdmv.gov. It is here you will be able to see if the business is an "Active" and in good standing company, "Revoked" which a companies license can be revoked for a number of reasons, but that also means you probably shouldn't go with them and then there is "Not Active".  Either way, you should never go with a company that is not an "Active" company.

But, because we think so highly of our customers and understand sometimes bad and unfortunate things can happen, we carry well over the minimum. With 5Star movers, rest assure that our vehicles alone carry $300,000 in liability, $20,000 in cargo and just for extra protection we have a $1,000,000 general liability policy that is included in every move booked with 5Star Movers.

So, before going with the company that may be $5.00 cheaper an hour, think about how your belongings and property will be protected. Because like my  mom always said, "if it's too good to be true, then it probably is".
